Privacy

wolo.gg is an independent project that analyzes Age of Empires 2 DE matches through its website, messaging bots and the Wolo plugin for ChatGPT and Codex. This policy explains what we process, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and the controls available to you.

What data we store

• Your Wolo account identifier and linked Steam or Discord login identifier
• Your verified WhatsApp or Discord contact, when you choose to link one, plus notification consent and preferences
• Your public AoE2 profile ID (which may be linked to a Steam/Xbox account)
• Your public in-game name and ELO
• Ranked match data (timings, APM, civ, result, etc.) extracted from public replays
• The Wolo tool requests needed to answer you, the resulting match data, and AI analyses generated for you
• Account access and allowance records, such as the match identifier and date on which a match was first opened
• Limited technical and security logs, which may include timestamps, IP address, user agent and error details

We use this information to authenticate your account, find and analyze matches, apply account access, remember already opened matches, provide support, secure and debug the service, process requested notifications and comply with legal obligations. Linking a contact does not enable messages; you control notification consent separately.

What we don't store

• Steam, Discord, OpenAI or payment passwords (we don't ask for them)
• The contents of your other WhatsApp chats — only what you send to the bot
• Payment data (Stripe handles that directly)
• Raw replay files (we delete them after parsing)
• Your full ChatGPT or Codex conversation history. The plugin receives only the tool requests and data that the AI host sends to Wolo for the task you requested.

Third parties involved

• AoE2 Companion — public API used to detect new matches
• ageofempires.com — replay download (data you already publish when Share Game Data is on)
• OpenAI — hosts ChatGPT/Codex and sends the tool requests you make to the Wolo plugin under your OpenAI account
• Steam and Discord — optional account authentication
• Anthropic — generates analyses requested through the Wolo bot
• WHAPI — WhatsApp gateway for messages you request or consent to receive
• Railway and Supabase — application hosting, databases and operational logs
• Stripe — credit pack payments (when you buy one)

These providers receive only the information needed for their role and process it under their own terms and privacy commitments. Processing may occur in the United States or the European Union.

How long we keep data

• Raw replay files are removed after parsing.
• Account identifiers, linked providers, verified contacts, preferences, access records and generated analyses are kept while your account is active and are permanently deleted within 30 days after a valid deletion request.
• Routine application logs are normally kept for up to 30 days. Records needed to investigate a security incident may be kept for up to 12 months.
• Backups may retain deleted account data for up to 30 additional days before automatic rotation.
• Public match facts in the shared archive may remain while Wolo operates. You may request review or removal of identifiable public profile data by emailing us.
• Payment and accounting records are kept for the period required by tax and commercial law.

Affiliate (referral) program

If you arrived at wolo.gg via a link like wolo.gg/r/<code>, we set a technical cookie carrying that code for 30 days. The cookie is solely used to attribute your signup to the creator who brought you, so we can calculate their commission.

Once registered, your account is linked to that creator. This lets us (a) credit you with the welcome bonus the creator offers and (b) compute commissions when you buy packs. We do NOT share your personal data with creators — only aggregates (signup count, conversions).

Your rights

You can pause or change notifications from your Wolo account without deleting it. You can delete your data at any time by sending /eliminar to the bot or emailing us. We restrict the account within 24 hours and complete permanent deletion within 30 days, subject to legal records and backup rotation described above.

You can also request access, correction, export, objection or removal of identifiable public profile data by emailing hola@wolo.gg.
